The storm is still digging out from a really unlucky SP draft.   I usually slot my SP picks so I don't get too many LHP's.  This year it just worked out weird, and I ended up with 6 LHP's.  That meant during the first 4 days of the FA's, I was chasing whatever RHP's I could find.  Still haven't righted the boat, but at least I have some semblance of a SP staff now.  But the offense is mediocre at best.

Tight race so far.  The bottom 4 teams are between 1 and 3 games out of 4th place.  Only 2 teams over 500.  No one out of the playoffs yet.  Still think the Highwaymen are going to be in the hunt as those SP's start to warm up for him.

Congrats to all for an exciting season. The battle for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place went down to the wire.   Congratulations to the playoff teams; Bulldogs, Pugs, Old Style, and the storm.  The Bulldogs were dominant this year; but the rest of the league was very balanced and very competitive.  For the storm, the whole season felt like smoke and mirrors; lots of transactions in an attempt to stay competitive.

Good luck to all in the playoffs!

The World Series starts tonight and the PUGs are thrilled to be here.  This has been the craziest season for me in my DECADES of playing BBM!  Here are the SP's I Drafted: Porcello, Bundy, Alex Cobb, Marco Gonzales (who I later released) plus Berrios and Giolito.   Some of the other guys I drafted:  Stanton ($4.2Mil), Cedric Mullins, Mikie Mahtook, Tyler White, Candelario (as my staring 3B), Jack Cozart (as my b-up 3B).  My saving grace was that - other than Stanton - I did not get bitten by the injury bug nearly as much as others did.  Which supports the BBM Truth - "it's better to be lucky than good!"
Congrats to the Bulldogs for an amazing Season!  Here's hoping we get four more games worth of luck in the next 7.
