Cap'n feeling like the dog that caught the car .......

Haven't done a scratch draft in quite a few years, don't recall heading to the OF with the #1 pick.  Half the league spent the minimum 3.5 Mill or less.  Bombers and Bulls opened up their wallets.  Expect them to be ooking for the crumbs all through the draft.

Capn,

Unless they have changed the rules we have to turn the money left over back in at the end of the season.LOL Guess it has been way to long since I have done A draft from scratch. Crumbs you say we get and crumbs it has been . Somebody has to be in the cellar right ,no decent players and pennies in the bank. But only on way to go and that is up.

Slugger,

Opened up my wallet too, but it's easier to snatch the falling crumbs when you're not this close to the bottom.  It's been a long time since I've done a scratch draft too, but if my memory serves me correct, no one has ever run out of cash during the draft.  Claws! didn't grab ofne of the studs from the 9th spot, but we're not unhappy with Simmons.  Will be interesting to see the jockeying for position tonight for the Sanchez derby.

Can a team run out of money? Why, I believe they can. Brahma Bulls have built a stacked team, probably Cap'n's team to beat. But they've spent all their money doing so. 6K left with Catchers and the all-important RP still to go. No injuries, they probably romp through this league. But a few key losses, and it could be a different story.

I don't think anyone is handing out any trophies. Nor do I know what process Cap'n uses to determine his team to beat. What I do know is the Bulls cannot afford too many injuries.

This isn't one of those leagues with participation trophies is it?  There's nothing scientific to the selection process for "The Team to Beat" usually a long night alone at the Pub with a 30 pack, Aunt Ethel's darts, and a few photos of my ex.

Bulls won't be able to afford many free agents either.

Jamie, would you have time to do one of your league analysis for Extreme?

Sarge,

How'd I end up with Caleb Joseph with the 17 pick?  Happy with two starters at back stop, will need to scramble for a third baseman though.

Cap'n - I think people are afraid that Caleb is gonna lost many AB's to Sisco (I'm one of them). I picked right in front of you at 16 and was happy to get Jason Castro.. Castro is no stud - but he doesn't have anyone pushing him like Caleb does.

Capn,

Like getting Perez at a reasonable price and feel fortunate to land his back-up for now. Would have rather had Cisco.  I think he is going to be a stud.

Slim pickings out there on the Free Agent lists compared to my other leagues. Not as many teams in this league capped the minimum on SP.

Sarge,

I agree with you! Slim Pickens for sure.
