The new home of the original Boise Summer League. Formed in 1992 this may be the oldest continuous league in BBM. Two original members remain (Magoo and the Owl) with a third original member (Slider) in Endless Summer. And if we include the 1993 season we add two more "almost original" members to the fold (Hammer and Bullwinkle). Yes, I think we can safely say this we are quite a group of originals.

Nice new digs..

You can always take a guess at the really old leagues by their name.  In the early days Prodigy always named the leagues based on a city of the state the league signer upper lived in.   So any leagues with a city in their name like Boise, have a good chance of being a very old league.

Actually, as I recall, the original manager who came up with the league name was from New Orleans. We were assigned a city but changed it from the beginning.
Just checking out the new boards. Will be back later

I posted the Baltimore picture in the Albums area of my Profile. Cool. Double click it to enlarge it. Plan on adding some others as well.

Slider first told me about the Album thing. I hadn't given it a look until he posted some pictures and we started talking about it. I think it's a nice feature and would enjoy seeing pictures from everybody.

Adding them is a little awkward so if you need help there are instructions in the FAQ area of the board (in the General BBM News forum).

Do any of you have any pictures from any of our trips? I swear I can only find last years. I know we had some from Kansas City and Cleveland but I can't find them. If anyone has anything would you send them to me and maybe also post them in your albums here on the DC? I'd sure like to have them.

We should all post some pix. Just for the fun of it. Then, we can look at each other's profiles and pictures by clicking their name on any post. I've looked at some from other managers who have already done it and it's great. I'm going to repost this over in Endless Summer as well.

Are we all set on the draft date?

Thanks, Jack. I'm glad we're doing them then. My other leagues look like they are going to be later so it's nice to have the staggered dates. The longer the drafts stretch out the more fun it is. I realize that means nothing to you guys who aren't in multiple leagues so I appreciate your going along with these dates. Thanks.

As I recall, I passed along congratulations to Hammer for winning the Boise pennant last year, but if not, I am raising my mug in another round of cheers. Well done!

Nice trade Slugger and Owl.
Slugger gets half of the Royals infield and Owl gets the Tiger SS..
So far, Moustakas is that early spring player getting off to a great start and trying to change the disappointment of last season.
Actually hope it works out for him because the Royals need him to play well to make a push for the playoffs.

Slugger, I have Royals SS Escobar available if interested in another reclamation project. Also, you might like Valencia in case Moustakas doesn't play much against LHP
Just throwing that out there :-)
