To me it is the "hands on" and involvment of it all. I love the fact that have the opportunity to control (somewhat) what happens. I realize that there are some things in BBM that we can't control, but definitely more so than the other games out there.
I also have enjoyed the opportunity for interaction with other players that the DC provides. The camaraderie that exists here doesnt seem to exist in other fantasy games and consequently has actually for several years now, been a big part of my life that I look forward to every day.

I echo the sentiments of Jason. The BBM game has brought people into my life through the years that have become friends for life. We may slug it out on the field but we are still friends afterwards. In several of the leagues we have been playing together for over 10 years some 15 years. With coaches like Hammer, Slider, Maverick, Dragon, Rosie, Uncle Vito, Wild Willie, Magoo, Grizzly, Owl, Casey, and Bruno and any others I look forward to every Spring to hear the words Play Ball. The 8 day draft is like 8 days of Christmas each morning in April to open the door to see who has joined your team. More than once several of the leagues have joined together for a lost weekend to meet others and enjoy a few games in a major league park nearby.
The game has more realism than other games I have played. It gives you the flexibility to determine who to play. Decide who hits better against Sabathia, Sizemore or Choo. Pick your players for the lefty tonight or the righty. And yes the ugly DL also plays a part. Does your pitching staff need relievers that can throw long innings or do you have the staff that pitches deep into the game? 162 game schedule just like the majors, no rainouts, just an all-star break just like the major leagues.
What would my summer be without BBM? A total rainout.

Oh and one other thing that BBM provides that other games don't. It is nice to have somewhere to go and read such expert analyses on political situations.

I played a number of different fantasy baseball formats before migrating to BBM. What attracted me was the uncommon parrallel that BBM has with real baseball. You play 162 games, you can only play a player that has played at a specific position, you use lefty and righty stats and you concentrate on real MLB performance stats in lieu of team oriented stats like batter RBIs and pitcher wins and losses. Further, the draft is extremely unique in the world of fantasy sports. In lieu of a free-for-all blitz, serpentine drafts or a fantasy auction; BBM uses a draft that balances budget constraints with manager positional emphasis and player projections.
If you are tired of being bored after your draft with weekly games, tired of loosing games to teams that got lucky enough to draft players on winning teams rather than really having the best players, or tired of drafts that leave the mangers that figured out the system with a team that George Steinbrener would envy while other teams can't even field rosters; migrate to BBM. It's been the closest thing to real baseball for the last two decades.
